Colis Privé strengthens its delivery service

Colis Privé, which relied in France on Last Smile Partner (LSP) for some of its customer delivery operations, proposed a partial takeover plan for the parcel delivery business of Milee, which was looking for a successor. This takeover offer was approved on 26 July 2024 by the Commercial Court of Marseille.

Continuous improvement and quality of service

This acquisition concerns the integration of 301 employees, including 272 delivery drivers, as well as the takeover of 162 delivery vehicles and 27 distribution stations throughout France. This acquisition not only preserves almost half of the LSP teams already active for Colis Privé, but also guarantees continuity of service for all our customers.

The main objective of Colis Privé with this internalization, through the creation of our new entity Colis Privé Livraison, is to continuously improve the quality of our services. By strengthening our national presence, we will be able to better control delivery processes to ensure an optimal customer experience.

Colis Privé, a reference player in the delivery market

We are proud to have the opportunity to establish ourselves as a reference player in the last mile delivery market in France and at BeLux. Before this takeover, Colis Privé had 650 employees in France, thanks to the integration of this as a delivery company, we have an increase of almost 50% in our workforce, which is nearly 1000 employees.

During the Olympics, Colis Privé Adapts

This summer, France will host the Olympic Games from July 26 to August 11 and the Paralympic Games from August 28 to September 8. These exceptional events will impact daily life, especially in the Île-de-France region, affecting Colis Privé’s operations

An organization adapted

To adapt to this unique situation and maintain optimal service quality, Colis Privé is reorganizing its collections and deliveries. In Île-de-France, early departures from our hubs to our regional agencies are planned to avoid traffic jams. Non-urgent deliveries will be rescheduled based on events like marathons and cycling races. In the provinces, the impact is minimal as events occur late in the day. Deliveries in security zones will be directed to specific relay points.

Capacity-building

For this special period, Colis Privé is deploying an additional team of 20 delivery drivers, available from July 15 to September 15. These drivers, equipped with special permits, will wear branded caps and vests to be easily recognizable. In areas where motor vehicles are not allowed, deliveries will be made by bike or on foot.

Opening of the Compans hub and the Quincieux agency

This back-to-school season is full of new developments for Colis Privé. Two new eco-responsible sites are opening in the network. Both projects adhere to our environmental policy.

Compans

The 15,000 m2 warehouse, with 88 dock doors and 500 m2 of photovoltaic panels, replaces the Vemars site. With this new hub, Colis Prive is pushing the envelope on eco-responsibility and energy-saving, which are the real challenges of tomorrow. For this project, Colis Prive filed a BREEAM certification dossier and aims for an “Excellent” rating. The building also received the SIMI Grand Prix for Logistics Real Estate. Colis Prive is proud to open this new-generation logistics hub with a particularly well-managed environmental footprint.

Quincieux

Located north of Lyon, the new 5,000 m2 agency with 600 m2 offices includes 77 light vehicle loading docks and 8 heavy vehicle loading docks. This site will alleviate the Corbas agency while getting closer to the distribution sectors. Thanks to its photovoltaic power station, Colis Prive aspires to achieve the BREEAM Very Good certification for the building to highlight its environmental performance.
